Maintenance Diet

  1. A glass of warm water early morning.
  2. Time of food may be your choice.
  3. Breakfast suit yourself for whatever has been recommended
    Lunch or dinner
  4. say 1 roti + 1/3k of dal+1/3k of veg+1/3k of curd, total quantity not more than 200 ml & other choices as recommended in earlier diets
  5. No salt after dinner
  6. Restricts soups for dinner
  7. Restrict pizza,3 pieces of medium thin-crust once a week
  8. A burger once a week is alright
  9. One a week, cooked rice 200g + 1 k(150ml) of dal/rajma/raita
  10. Restrict sugar to 2 tsp a day
  11. Mango & banana eat seldom
  12. sweets once in 5 days (a piece of cake,1 gulab jamun,1 rasgulla, 150gs of gajar halwa, etc) or
    otherwise 20 gs of dairy milk chocolate daily
  13. Potatoes may be had on alternate days, only for lunch, say alloo mater, gobi alloo, paneer
    alloo
  14. In case of weight increases, instead, have a glass of milk + 2 fruits & miss one dinner
  15. Just focus on portion control, walking 30′ daily, avoid late nights & weight will be managed.

If you think you are experiencing a weight loss plateau, you shouldn’t fret. It is common for the scale not to budge for a few days. This does not mean you are not losing fat. Bodyweight fluctuates by a few hundred grams or a kg, depending on the foods you have eaten, hormones in females ( water retention ). Rather measure your waist circumference & be happy with your inch loss. Unless the weight has been struck for more than 1-2 weeks, you probably don’t need to worry.
